Standard 3: Assessment

Teachers understand and use varied assessments to inform instruction, evaluate and ensure student learning.

Escape Room Assessment

I designed an "escape room" assessment that was used as an end of unit assessment. Students showed their knowledge of addition/subtraction within 10 by completing several mathematical activities which provided them with a code when completed. This assessment utilizes the GRASPS framework to actively engage students.

Toy Rescue Mission PBL

I designed a six week long PBL for Kindergarten students.  Within this project, students will answer the overarching question, "How can we repurpose items we no longer use?" by planning, designing, and creating a school "toy library." This PBL integrates content from several subjects including science, social studies, literacy, and SEL.

Qualitative Reading Inventory Report

I administered a QRI assessment to determine areas of growth a student had. Using the data collected from this assessment, I designed and implemented several lessons to target these areas.
