Standard 4: Instruction

Teachers plan and deliver effective instruction that advances the learning of each individual student.

Whole Group

I understand the importance of whole group instruction in regards to introducing new topics, promoting collaboration, and maintaining structure and consistency in the classroom. Click the button below to view a whole group math lesson I have designed and implemented.

Small Group

I also have experience providing small group instruction. Working in small groups allows for differentiation and helps me target specific student needs. Click below to view a small group literacy lesson I have designed and implimented.

Intervention

I have experience working with groups of 2-3 students in order to provide tier 2 RTI. The picture below is an example of an activity we do to practice blending and segmenting cvc words. Students first drive through a school-zone (very slow), then they go down a roadway (medium pace), finally they drive down the highway (quickly). This activity allows students to practice hearing each sound as they segment and blend.
